One visa for six Gulf countries: what is confirmed so far
The GCC’s planned unified tourist visa is designed to make travel across six countries—including the UAE—simpler. As of today, however, its start date and detailed rules have not been officially published.
What is the unified Gulf visa?
The planned system is intended to let eligible visitors build one trip across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman using a single tourist permit. It is often compared with Europe’s Schengen system, although its duration, price and eligibility will be governed by its own Gulf rules.
What officials have confirmed
The GCC Secretariat says passport authorities and technical teams across the member states are working toward launch. GCC leaders have also endorsed progress on the unified tourist visa and directed interior ministries to continue the necessary work.

Why it matters for Dubai
A single permit for a multi-country itinerary could make Dubai an even stronger arrival point or regional base for long-haul visitors. Easier connections may support tourism, business travel and international buyers viewing property across different cities. That is a potential impact if the scheme launches—not a guaranteed market outcome.
What travellers should do now
Until the unified visa is formally launched, each country’s existing entry rules continue to apply separately. Travellers to the UAE should rely on the UAE Government and relevant official authority pages for current requirements.
